In this issue: Mystical Bazaar Update Local Artist Introduction Classes & Events Spiral Dance tickets Mystical Bazaar Update Hours: Wednesday-Saturday 11:00 - 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays 12:00 - 6:30 p.m. *Sunday 11:00-5:00 p.m. *We are closed the 2nd and last Sunday of each month. We will be open Monday October 31st and closed Tuesday November 1st. As Halloween and Samhain draw closer we have supplies for the season and plenty of spooky items to decorate your space and get into the Autumn mood. We have recently acquired some more realistic looking skull statues that are actually made out of bone. We have new pagan themed sterling silver earrings, pendants and rings. Come see our new masks, wood carved wall peices and more... Air and Fire has welcomed more local art into the Mystical Bazaar. We are pleased to introduce the following individuals and the wonderful work they bring into this world... Joni Russell- brings us her limited edition Sacred Gemstone Jewelry creations: Garnet Dragon, Blackberry Sky, Midnight Raven, Cross roads (with fairy stones), Egyptian Ice, Crystal Moon & Ravens Flight. These are high quality beautiful necklaces strung with natural semi-precious gemstones with a variety pendants, many of them sterling silver. Invisiphobia- C.D. by local artist Bluzar Blue, who calls it "folk-rock with a psycho-billy twist, or something like that." It has a really diverse sound. The artist plans to give 20% of his proceeds to Cancer research. Some are made of Black Oak, and some are Redwood, but all of these peices are inlaid with natural turquoise stones that make for an eye-catching wonderment. They are naturally wood burl shaped and smoothed with an elegant appearance. We also have a bone choker necklace made by this artist. Celestial Reunion- a channeled book by local Astrologer Peter Phalam. "One man's vision from beyond the edge of metaphysical reality." Amber Originals- has brought in more of her fine jewelry with semi precious stones. Necklaces, earrings and bracelets, some are gold filled, some are steeling silver. Dragon Moon Incense- locally handcrafted with the finest whole herbs, spices and natural resins. Hand rolled cones or loose powders, no charcoal required. Available in a variety of scents that are magickally charged to reflect the characteristics of each name. The Mystical Bazaar is full of mystical creatures such as fairies, dragons, gargoyles, mermaids, angels and pieces to portray the wisdom of the ages. We have the artwork of over 35 very talented local artists! From incense, jewelry, books and prints to wood carvings, masks and original paintings. We handcraft our own line of natural soaps, candles, magickal oils and potions... and we carry aromatherapy supplies too. Pagan books, crystals and statues of Gods and Goddess from around the world. One Sunday a month Time: 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Cost: $15 October 23 Halloween & Samhain We will discuss the origins of Halloween and customs used today as well as Day of the Dead, All Souls Day and Samhain. We will explore the nature of the energies abound this season as we prepare for important seasonal shifts and learn ways to make the most out of them. We will take you on an inner journey guided by visualization for deeper exploration and deeper understanding of the web of life and how we are connected to it. Presented by Jennifer & Emelia November 20 "Underworld" Join us for an enchanting evening full of tales of the old Gods and Goddess of the Underworld. Explore the mystery of this dark time of the year and how it relates to us. Take a journey guided by visualization into the darkness of the Underworld and uncover tools to help you on your spiritual progression into the light. Presented by Jennifer & Emelia December 4 "Bibliomantic Scrying" A relatively new type of divination-gazing that utilizes the actual text of a favorite book as the medium for providing personal spiritual insight, a technique very different from basic bibliomancy (random book page reading/divination). We will also cover how bibliomancy can be used to augment the bibliomantic scrying method, to yield an even deeper reading. Costumes encouraged but not required. Many fantastic items donated by local people & businesses up for auction. This is an annual fundraiser for the BCBA who promotes local businesses and is responsible for the general upkeep of downtown, BC Art & Wine Festival, Holiday Lights in Downtown, 4th of July Parade and a lot more. October 31 Halloween Trick or Treating Downtown A long time Boulder Creek tradition: hundreds of trick or treaters fill the sidewalks downtown visiting local merchants who pass out treats. Time: 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. This event is highly attended, please walk in a clockwise direction around town, be courteous and watch out for the little ones. The 26th annual presentation of The Spiral Dance A ritual to honor our beloved dead and dance the spiral of rebirth. When and where: Saturday, October 29 at Kezar Pavilion, 745 Stanyan Street, San Francisco 94117 (north-east corner of Golden Gate Park, off the MUNI N line). Doors open at 6:00PM and the ritual begins at 7:30 PM. Spiral Dance tickets can be purchased at Air and Fire. Tickets are $15-$100, sliding scale.
